Aly is a young girl whose singing is her single escape from a bleak life of poverty and dangerously escalating abuse towards herself and her little brother from her helpless mother’s boyfriend. Her only friend is a stone statue of an angel at the grave of a girl of the same age who died three years earlier. But when she impulsively sings along to the music of a young man playing on a tenement fire escape, she sets in motion events that eventually save herself and her little brother.

She escapes into the forest alone, robbed of her memory but now able to communicate with wild animals through her singing. Eventually taken into an orphanage, she and her orphan friends are pursued by the usurper when he learns that she is still alive. Her magical singing ability, however, allows those supporting her to overcome the usurper and crown her as queen.

She vows to never sing again, but exploring the lovely rain forest, she can’t help herself. Her singing attracts a young man, the world’s only Leprehune, his father a Leprechaun, his mother queen of the Menehune, Hawaii’s magical Little People. Together, they foil a terrorist plot by the unknown son of Adolf Hitler to explode the Kilauea volcano to cause a devastating mega-tsunami.
