A young engaged woman falls in love with a man who saves her life at the man-made lake that eventually will break its dam to flood Johnstown.  Her soon-to-be ex-fiancé stages a scene that makes her think the man she loves is a cad.  But when she learns the truth, she rushes to him and all three are caught in the raging flood-waters where the fiancé is killed trying to murder the girl and young man, who emerge as heroes deeply in love.
